MEET THE FOUNDER
Self Reliance Training is a firearms training company founded and operated by Louis Norell, an active Peace Officer in Minnesota. With over a decade of experience, he has had extensive formal training with law enforcement and military trainers, including retired Army Special Forces-Delta Force, FBI, and US Marshals. Louis has personally trained well over a thousand students as a firearms and active shooter instructor. Our mission is to provide comprehensive firearms training to individuals with varying levels of experience. Louis is passionate about teaching the proper use of firearms and ensuring the safety of our clients. We believe that everyone has the right to self-defense and it is our goal to empower our clients with the knowledge and skills necessary to protect themselves and their loved ones.

What is Our Mission?
At SRT, we understand the value of being able to respond to dangerous situations when they arise, and that’s why we provide top-notch training designed to help you become self-reliant. Our founder, Louis, spent more than a decade as a police officer, witnessing firsthand how the victims of violent crime had no say in the matter. Louis realized that the true first responder in these situations must always be the individual facing the danger, and with the proper training, everyone can become their own best defense.
